Get a website or blog, write articles, also known as content. Sign up with Google's Adsense Program. They'll assign a publisher ID to you and you'll be able to get some "code" that you can put in your website or blog. Tell everyone you know - friends, family, acquaintances, etc. about your site. Watch the cash come rolling in. Another option is to simply write articles like this one - on HubPages.com.
First, you'll need a website or blog. Then, you'll need to sign up for Google's Adsense program. What's that? It is a program that is designed to deliver targeted, relevant advertising to publishers. What is a publisher you ask? A publisher, could be defined as one with a web presence. Can you be a publisher? Yes. You only need to have a web presence and if you have a blog or website, you already have a presence. In fact, you're not limited to just having just one web presence. You can put Google Adsense "code" on the unlimited blogs sites that you create. So, truly your opportunities are are ever-expanding, just like the internet!

You have to have a website or blog, or you can opt to participate in a revenue sharing program like the one that HubPages.com offers, or you can do both. Whichever your choice of publication(s,) you will be able to actively produce content. Don't worry if you aren't the best writer. You aren't limited to just writing. You can also create other interesting types of content (ie. videos/photos) and share them with your friends, family and the entire internet.
All you have to do is display google's advertisements (with the "code" that I spoke of in the short answer above.) When your visitors see the content-related advertisements and find something of interest, they can continue their internet-ventures and then you've made some gas money to go to the bank with. You'll then get paid from your page visitors actually leaving your site. They'll come back though, if the content is good... so write good content. Pretty cool, huh?
